Commercial Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A respected national law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with a minimum of five years of experience to join its Dallas office. Location:

Duties:

• Handle all phases of litigation in commercial, insurance defense, and personal injury matters

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Take and defend depositions

• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and court proceedings

• Manage cases involving:

  • Transportation and hospitality law

  • Worksite accidents involving serious injury and fatalities

  • Professional liability and products liability defense

  • Construction defect litigation

  • Business and commercial disputes

• Maintain reporting requirements for insurance clients (preferred)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation

• Hands-on experience with case management from inception through trial preparation

• Strong litigation experience, including taking depositions and court appearances

• Knowledge of litigation reporting protocols for insurance carriers (preferred)

• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar license in Texas (required)
