Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Capital Markets Associate in Washington. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team specializing in Corporate Finance and Capital Markets, handling complex financial transactions for clients globally. This role involves collaboration with colleagues across U.S., European, and Asian offices to execute both domestic and cross-border transactions.

Duties

• Represent issuers, underwriters, and placement agents in public offerings and private placements.
• Ensure compliance with the 1933 Act and 1934 Act in securities offerings.
• Participate as a key member of deal teams, managing transactions from due diligence to closing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of capital markets experience.
• Experience with business development companies and 1940 Act funds is advantageous.
• Large law firm experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
