A law firm in Houston is seeking a Mid-level Chemical Science Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing highly complex and sensitive client work, demonstrating a high level of professional capability and skill. The role involves preparing draft patent applications, responding to communications from the USPTO, and assisting attorneys in delivering quality legal services to clients efficiently and cost-effectively.

Duties:

• Prepare draft patent applications and responses to communications from the USPTO.
• Assist attorneys in delivering quality legal services to clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Perform highly complex and sensitive client work requiring a high level of professional capability and skill.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering.
• High level of academic achievement.
• The solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience.
• Superb writing and communication skills.

Education:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Advanced degrees in organic chemistry or chemical engineering are preferred.

Certifications:

Admission to the USPTO.
