Pros: 5.0 Current Employee, more than 3 yearsA wonderful place to workLegal Assistant in Austin, TX ProsI've been with the firm a few years now and am thrilled to be a part of such a dynamic team. I've worked in a few firms now as a legal assistant and MWM stands out above the rest. I've had more opportunity to grow professionally here than any prior firm I've been with. The managing partners are kind, hard working, and care about the whole team. MWM is excellent at communicating any changes that impact our jobs and providing the training we need to learn anything new and the time to adjust to the changes. If we need help, all we have to do is ask, and it will come abundantly. They introduce new technology and software as needed, to be sure we stay on top of it all, so sometimes you have to reinvent a process, but I've found they make these changes only when the benefit outweighs the burden of learning something new. I have flexibility to take any appointments or vacation I need, wonderful PTO, and our benefits just keep getting better. I work hard, but when it's time to go home, I do, and I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to work overtime (it's rare to be asked to work overtime/outside your normal hours as a legal assistant). The firm mostly operates in person, which means if you are a remote-only fan, this may not be the best place for you! Just something to keep in mind. The firm ensured we CAN all work remotely, but it's not the culture here to do so. We typically only work remote if we absolutely need too or just temporarily (i.e. location, during the pandemic, or bad weather). This is great for me as I want to be out of my house and seeing people in person daily. In summary, I get great raises, a yearly bonus, full benefits, and exceptional PTO. It is a wonderful place to work!ConsFree breakfast every Friday morning. I'm not kidding guys, you will have to be careful with all the amazing sweets and treats we get. :) I will add, this is not a 'remote' firm for the most part, so for some, this may be a con and for others, a plus.
