The candidate will prepare immigration forms and draft letters of support, cover letters, CVs, and other supportive documents for clients. Will perform legal research and writing, such as Briefs in support of asylum, Appeals to the BIA, Appeals to the 4th Circuit, Appeals to the Dept of Labor. Represent clients in Immigration Court, before the BIA, and before the Dept of Labor, Arlington Asylum Office or throughout similar venues throughout the country (at the request of a client). Interview and consult with immigration clients, prepare Spanish to English translations and English to Spanish translations, and case materials. Conduct research in Spanish. Conduct clients' interviews in Spanish and draft letters to clients in Spanish. Visit clients at detention centers throughout the United States. Represent clients at Maryland State Courts for family law matters such as guardianship and custody. Must be a native Spanish Speaker. Maryland license is required.
