Business Immigration Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Business Immigration Attorney in Silver Spring, MD. This full-time, hybrid role involves managing a business immigration caseload, providing strategic legal counsel, and supporting clients throughout the immigration process. The position requires on-site presence three days a week.

Duties

• Manage a high-volume caseload of employment-based immigration matters.
• Prepare and file petitions and applications, including E-2, H-1B, L-1, O-1, J-1, PERM, EB-2 NIW, and EB-1 cases.
• Draft legal briefs and responses to agency requests.
• Provide legal guidance to corporate and individual clients.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff for efficient case preparation.
• Stay current on immigration laws and ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business/employment-based immigration law.
• Experience with E-2, H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM, EB-2 NIW, and EB-1 cases.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction.
