A law firm seeks a Cyber, Privacy, And Data Innovation Litigation Associate Attorney in Sacramento, CA.

Job Overview:

The Cyber, Privacy, And Data Innovation Litigation Associate Attorney will work on a robust pipeline of sophisticated, innovative, and industry-leading litigation, including class actions, across various clients in the firm's industry verticals of technology, finance, life sciences, and energy. This role offers an opportunity to assume early and significant responsibility in managing all aspects of complex disputes and litigation, including direct client interaction, discovery management, depositions, court appearances, oral arguments, and mediations.

Duties:

  • Work on diverse sophisticated litigation matters, including class actions, within the technology, finance, life sciences, and energy sectors.
  • Manage all aspects of complex disputes and litigation, including direct client interaction.
  • Handle all discovery phases with the firm's industry-leading eDiscovery, Analytics, and Litigation Support team.
  • Take and defend depositions, make court appearances, and handle oral arguments at key hearings.
  • Manage mediations and contribute to settlement negotiations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and tactics.
  • Conducted legal research and drafted legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Membership to the CA State Bar.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Noteworthy writing skills with superb legal research abilities.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Membership to the California State Bar.

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a $10,000 bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable hour levels above 1,950.
