Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Consumer Protection and Class Action Litigation Attorney in Kansas City, MO. Duties

• Proactively develop cases by identifying emerging consumer protection issues.
• Conduct in-depth pre-suit investigations and witness development.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for complex federal and state court litigation.
• Handle depositions, argue motions, and represent clients in hearings and trials.
• Manage a quality-over-quantity caseload with strategic case management.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff on litigation strategy.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of litigation experience.
• Licensed in Missouri and Kansas, or ability to become licensed in both within 6 months.
• Strong deposition experience, motion practice, and courtroom skills.
• Excellent research and writing abilities.
• Ability to think strategically and move cases forward efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.
