Associate Attorney needed for Jacksonville office

A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Workers’ Compensation Defense practice in Jacksonville, FL.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in representing clients in workers’ compensation cases. They will provide legal counsel, research, and litigation support while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and client service.

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers’ compensation cases, including hearings and trials.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and arguments.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to achieve case objectives.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments.

Requirements:

• Experience practicing law, focusing on workers’ compensation defense preferred.
• Graduated from an accredited law school.
• An active member of the Florida Bar or someone who recently took the Bar Exam with the expectation of imminent admission.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Florida State Bar or pending admission.
