Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dynamic and motivated First Party Coverage Attorney to join its national and international coverage practice. This is an exciting opportunity to handle complex insurance coverage, bad faith, and first-party property litigation matters. Duties:

  • Handle first-party property insurance claims and litigation, including bad faith and coverage disputes.

  • Manage cases in both state and federal courts, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.

  • Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and trial proceedings.

  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on insurance coverage issues.

  • Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts and engage in continuous learning and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in first-party property, bad faith, and insurance coverage litigation.

  • Proven experience in managing cases through all phases of litigation, including drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery.

  • Ability to handle client relationships with professionalism and confidence.

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team setting.

  • Admission to the California Bar is required; additional State Bar admissions are a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in California.

  • Additional certifications or licenses in other States are advantageous.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing capabilities.

  • Expertise in insurance coverage law, specifically first-party property and bad faith claims.

  • Strong case management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in managing litigation cases from start to finish, including depositions, hearings, and trials.

  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical, strategic advice.
