Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate with over seven years of experience to join their team in New York City. Duties

  • Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation and foreclosure matters in state and federal courts.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery-related documents with precision and clarity.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Handle all aspects of electronic discovery, including collection, review, and production of ESI.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and pretrial strategy sessions.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance to clients across industries.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of litigation experience.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic discovery tools and processes.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and time management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters and work independently.
  • Admission to the New York Bar is required; New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York Bar.
