Criminal Defense Associate Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal law matters such as assault & battery, felonies, DUI, reckless driving, and drug possession, sales, and distribution.
• Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies to provide top-quality legal representation.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and pre-trial conferences diligently.
• Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and appeals.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the delivery of comprehensive legal services.
• Communicate regularly with clients, informing them of their case status and legal options.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on criminal law and practice changes.

Requirements:

• Must be a licensed Virginia State Bar member in good standing.
• Demonstrated interest in criminal and traffic law with a commitment to client defense.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in litigation with a willingness to take on challenging cases.
• Spanish language fluency is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage client relationships and work collaboratively.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
