A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney to join its Georgia practice. This position involves representing clients in diverse litigation matters while managing cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including court appearances and hearings.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Manage all aspects of case preparation, including discovery, depositions, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategies tailored to their specific legal needs.
  • Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards while representing clients.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients and industry professionals.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and apply them effectively to cases.

Requirements

  • Active membership in the Georgia State Bar.
  • Litigation experience preferred, with the ability to manage cases independently.
  •  5-8 years of experience in real estate, civil litigation, and/or creditors’ rights practice.
  • Familiarity with court procedures, legal research, and case law analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and superior client service.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Georgia State Bar (required).
  • Additional Bar licenses are an asset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate legal concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously.
