Entry-level Personal Injury Associate Attorney

A mid-size law firm in Upper Marlboro, MD, is actively seeking an Entry-level Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its team. The firm is looking for a motivated and personable individual capable of independently handling a diverse caseload. The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in trial work and possess superior verbal and written communication skills. The primary requirement for this role is admission (or pending admission) to the Maryland Bar, with a preference for candidates holding Virginia and/or District of Columbia licenses. With 1-6 years of experience in personal injury law, the associate attorney will be responsible for managing cases from start to finish, including legal research, document drafting, court appearances, and negotiation with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties. Collaboration with senior attorneys on trial preparation and maintaining organized case files will also be part of their duties. The candidate should hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, have an excellent academic record, and be an active member of the Maryland Bar Association. Additional bar memberships are preferred. Proficiency in legal research and writing, case management, and negotiation, along with strong organizational skills, is expected.
