A law firm in Northampton, MA, is seeking a Transactional and Corporate Attorney with 2-4 years of law firm experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working on real estate and corporate matters and demonstrate a commitment to living and working in western Massachusetts.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support on transactional and corporate matters, including real estate transactions, business formations, mergers and acquisitions, and contract negotiations.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including purchase agreements, leases, corporate governance documents, and commercial contracts.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews for real estate and corporate transactions.
  • Assist clients with business formation and entity selection.
  • Advise clients on compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate and structure business transactions to achieve clients' objectives.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff on complex transactions and projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and legal developments.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of law firm experience working on real estate and corporate matters.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Massachusetts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to living and working in western Massachusetts.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in Massachusetts.
