Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in personal injury litigation and will manage cases from intake through trial or resolution.

Duties

  • Defend and conduct depositions as part of case development and discovery strategy.
  • Manage all aspects of individual cases from intake through resolution or trial.
  • Prepare comprehensive trial materials and participate actively in trial proceedings.
  • Represent clients confidently in court during hearings, motions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Draft high-quality law and motion documents to support litigation strategy.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and produce well-reasoned legal memoranda and briefs.
  • Compose clear, professional correspondence to clients, counsel, experts, and the court.
  • Analyze, summarize, and propound discovery requests and responses with precision.
  • Draft detailed and effective notices and objections in alignment with case objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
  • Conduct and defend expert witness depositions with subject-matter understanding.

Requirements

  • Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience litigating personal injury cases in California.
  • Proven track record in conducting and defending expert and lay witness depositions.
  • Demonstrated trial experience, including first- or second-chair participation in trials.
  • In-depth knowledge of California Civil Procedure.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Results-driven mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership with the State Bar of California.
