Houston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a financial civil litigation attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The candidate will assist more Senior Associates and Partners in managing cases. Will maintain client relationships throughout the legal process. Develop strategies in complex disputes. Interpret and summarize legal documents. Negotiate with outside parties on legal disputes and contractual issues. Appear in a court of law, arbitration, or other judicial tribunal on behalf of the firms client. Utilize knowledge of civil law principles and their application. Understand research methods, rules of evidence, and conduct of court proceedings. Effectively deliver legal information in a workshop setting, hearing, or courtroom. Plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Interpret, understand, and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Write correspondence in a professional manner. Maintain confidential and sensitive information. Prepare, present, and conduct cases of law, equity, and appeals thereof effectively. Present statements of fact, law, and argument clearly and logically in written and oral form. Must have a depth of knowledge in Accounting/Finance to handle complex commercial transactions for business clients. Experience with forensic analysis with complex transactions as it relates to accounting and financial statements is valued. Extensive training/experience in Finance/Accounting (baseline requirement) is required. Complex commercial litigation experience is needed. Must have Current Texas State Bar admission.

The candidate should have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Must have a Bachelors degree in accounting or finance or relevant coursework obtained through an MBA. Corporate-mindedness and savvy are required. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are needed. Must be collaborative, self-motivated, and highly professional. Should have technical skills where new programs can be quickly learned.
