Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly experienced transactional attorney to join its Public Finance practice, focusing on health care finance. This role is open to candidates in various U.S. locations, offering the opportunity to work on high-profile tax-exempt and taxable transactions. Duties

  • Serve as bond counsel, borrower's counsel, underwriter's counsel, or bank counsel for nonprofit and public health care financings.
  • Support public finance transactions for senior living facilities and other health-related entities.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key financing documents, including disclosure documents and loan agreements.
  • Assist in structuring and executing financings related to health care system M&A activity.
  • Contribute to public-private partnership and municipal economic development financings.
  • Manage deal teams and coordinate due diligence and closing processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of legal experience in public finance, health care finance, or related transactional work.
  • Strong knowledge of tax-exempt financing structures and capital markets transactions.
  • Experience with nonprofit health care systems and governmental issuers is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
