Family Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in Janesville, WI, seeks a Family Law Associate Attorney to join their committed team. This position is designed for a seasoned attorney with at least three years of family law experience or an individual with five or more years of extensive life experience demonstrating developed empathy skills. The successful candidate will handle various family law cases, provide compassionate legal advice, and advocate effectively for clients. Duties:

• Manage and represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support issues, and prenuptial agreements.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents and motions while ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and court proceedings.
• Provide legal counsel and support to clients, helping them understand their rights and options.
• Stay updated on developments and changes in family law to provide accurate advice and effective representation.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
• Participate in community outreach and educational programs to enhance the firm’s visibility and client base.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in good standing with the Wisconsin State Bar.
• At least 3 years of experience in family law practice or 5+ years of significant life experience that enhances empathy and understanding.
• Proven ability to handle complex family law cases with sensitivity and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin.
