Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in New York, NY. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both remote and in-office work as needed. The role involves working on defense litigation cases, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.

Duties

  • Manage multiple cases from inception through trial as part of a defense litigation team.
  • Attend and conduct depositions for various defendants regarding different products.
  • Draft client reports, motions, pretrial disclosures, settlement releases, and other legal filings.
  • Argue motions and attend conferences before New York Judges and the Special Master.

Requirements

  • 2-7 years of litigation experience.
  • Experience with asbestos and general liability insurance preferred.
  • Experience with insurance defense, including toxic torts, construction, construction defect, NY labor law, and premise liability, is a plus.
  • Strong communication, writing, and research skills.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.

  • Admitted to practice in New York.
