Vancouver office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney with 3 years of practicing law. The candidate must be able to support the partners by handling own casework as assigned and supervised. Educate prospective clients. Meet with clients to determine their needs. Design custom estate plans. Handle probate and guardianship matters. Assist with Medicaid applications. Experience in the area of trust administration and probate is a plus. Must have a current Oregon or Washington license to practice in good standing.

The candidate must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and research skills are a must. Must be a positive person. Must be computer literate and open to learning new things. Must be proficient in working with word processing software, electronic calendars, email, and document storage systems, conducting electronic legal research, and basic case management. Must be able to change gears quickly, think on feet, and make smart decisions. Must be detail-oriented and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right the first time. Must have emotional intelligence and empathy. Must see client communication and care as a privilege and not an inconvenience, and must be able to communicate easily with all types of people. Must be a team player. Must be working with staff and both and staff are accountable to each other. Must be able to talk to people in a manner that is polite and puts them at ease.
