Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Estate Planning Attorney in Sacramento, CA. This role involves working with a collaborative team to serve high net worth clients, business owners, and international clients with complex planning needs. The attorney will assist in estate planning, trust administration, and business succession planning, while developing their own client base over time.

Duties

  • Assist in all aspects of estate planning and trust administration.
  • Manage trust and probate administrations.
  • Participate in client meetings.
  • Develop and manage a personal book of business.

Requirements

  • Active member of the California State Bar.
  • Experience in trust administration, probate, and/or tax planning.
  • Advanced estate planning techniques experience preferred.

Education

  • L.L.M in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred.
  • Legal Specialization in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law desired.

Certifications

  • California State Bar membership.

Skills

  • Strong writing, research, and client communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and collaborative team player.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; LEAP and WealthCounsel preferred.
