Job Overview

A law firm seeks a bilingual Associate Attorney in Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English, with a strong desire to assist clients in Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration. The firm offers ongoing training and professional development resources.

Duties

  • Meet with and advise clients on legal matters via telephone, in person, and video.
  • Review and prepare legal documents such as Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.
  • Manage a caseload of Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration cases.
  • Perform legal research to assist in case evaluations and strategies.
  • Attend non-contested probate court hearings on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate with legal team and clients to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Contribute to firm efficiency and development of processes.
  • Handle client consultations and meetings.

Requirements

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish.
  • Currently residing in the Sacramento area with willingness to work in-office.
  • Empathetic with a strong desire to help others.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and comfort with various technology platforms.
  • Strong legal research skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Preferable experience in Estate Planning, Probate, and/or Trust Administration.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • License to practice law in California.
