Products Liability Staff Attorney

Job Overview

A leading national law firm is seeking a Staff Attorney with at least five years of experience to join its Product Liability & Mass Torts group in the New York office. This non-partner track position will focus exclusively on high-profile premises and product liability matters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing a high volume of litigation work while maintaining strong communication with clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing team representing Fortune 500 clients in complex liability cases.

Duties

• Manage premises liability and product liability cases from inception through resolution

• Draft and respond to written discovery requests

• Take and defend depositions

• Prepare for and attend court appearances and oral arguments

• Draft legal briefs, client status reports, and correspondence

• Maintain ongoing, direct communication with clients to ensure alignment with legal strategy and case objectives

• Support trial preparation and settlement negotiations

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience focused on product liability and/or premises liability

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while providing quality client service

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle complex procedural issues

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and in good standing with the New York State Bar

• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for client interaction

• Detail-oriented and capable of handling technical litigation documents

• Proficiency with litigation software and legal research tools

• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
