Job Overview

A law firm seeks an exceptional Patent Agent to join their intellectual property team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, responding to office actions, and conducting prior art searches in fields such as electrical/mechanical engineering, medical devices, and artificial intelligence.

Duties

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications.
  • Respond to office actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of opinions.
  • Conduct prior art searches.

Requirements

  • At least two years' experience as a Patent Agent.
  • Expertise in bioengineering, computer science, and related fields is a plus.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Admitted to practice before the USPTO.

Education

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, bioengineering, or computer science preferred.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice before the USPTO.
