Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Disability, Elder Law, and Estate Planning Attorney to join its team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will guide individuals, persons with disabilities, trustees, families, and other professionals through the complexities of guardianships, trusts, estate planning, benefit advocacy, probate, and related issues. The attorney will maintain high professionalism and confidentiality, ensuring exceptional service and support to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients through guardianships, trusts, estate planning, benefit advocacy, probate, and related legal issues.
  • Provide superior communication via telephone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently as required.
  • Think critically and proactively, remaining effective under pressure.
  • Stay highly organized and detail-oriented, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a keen sense of urgency.
  • Utilize MS Office Suite and time/document management software proficiently.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of practice experience as a licensed attorney.
  • Admission to practice law in Washington State.
  • Preferred experience in estate planning, guardianships, trusts, and probate.
  • Experience in special education, public benefits, and/or litigation is a plus.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player and independently as a self-motivated agent.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with technology, including MS Office Suite and time/document management software.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active and in good standing license to practice law in Washington State.
