A law firm in Boston is seeking a skilled and motivated Supreme Court and Appellate Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have experience as a judicial clerk, preferably for a federal or state appellate court, with excellent legal research, writing, and interpersonal skills. They must possess a completed JD from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct extensive legal research on complex appellate and Supreme Court cases.
  • Draft persuasive briefs, memos, and other legal documents for submission to appellate courts.
  • Analyze legal issues and provide strategic advice to clients on appellate matters.
  • Assist in oral arguments before appellate courts, including the Supreme Court.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and development.
  • Stay updated on developments in appellate law and procedure.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience as a judicial clerk, preferably for a federal or state appellate court.
  • Completed JD from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Bar admission in Massachusetts preferred (or willingness to obtain).

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications (if applicable):

  • Bar admission in any U.S. state.
  • Appellate practice certification (preferred).
