Job Overview

A law firm seeks a 3rd to 5th year associate for its Employment Litigation group in New York, New York. The role involves significant responsibility and direct client interaction, offering a dynamic work environment.

Duties

  • Work on pre-litigation matters and high-profile employment cases.
  • Handle systemic discrimination and wage and hour class actions.
  • Respond to administrative charges and conduct internal investigations.
  • Counsel clients on a variety of employment issues.
  • Manage complex cases and take an active role in legal proceedings.
  • Take and defend depositions, make court appearances, and argue motions.
  • Participate in mediations and related legal work.

Requirements

  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience.
  • Membership in the New York State Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • New York State Bar membership.
