Job Overview

A respected national law firm is seeking a Senior Immigration Attorney with at least six years of experience in employment-based immigration. This position offers the opportunity to lead client engagements, manage internal legal teams, and work on complex immigration matters in a collaborative and growth-oriented legal environment.

Location

  • Detroit, MI

Duties

  • Represent clients in employment-based immigration matters, including:

    • H-1B, PERM, I-140, Adjustment of Status (AOS), E, O-1, L-1, and TN visa petitions

  • Advise clients on visa strategies and immigration options

  • Oversee and track case assignments and workflow for internal legal teams

  • Conduct regular status calls and maintain consistent communication with clients

  • Manage client accounts and act as a strategic liaison

  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff

  • Ensure compliance with immigration laws, policies, and filing deadlines

  • Review and draft high-quality immigration filings and legal documents

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in employment-based immigration law

  • Proven ability to manage clients and coordinate multiple immigration matters

  • Experience supervising and training junior team members

  • Strong time management and multitasking skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead within a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills

  • Expert knowledge of business immigration processes and documentation

  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Client-service oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities

  • Proficiency with immigration case management software is preferred
