A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney in New York, NY, with 1-5 years of experience in plaintiff's personal injury law. The successful candidate will manage cases from intake through settlement or trial, collaborate with a skilled legal team, and grow into an independent role.

Duties

• Manage a personal injury caseload with appropriate supervision.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Attend court conferences, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Handle client communications and guide clients through litigation.
• Collaborate with medical experts, investigators, and third parties.
• Prepare cases for settlement or trial, including drafting demands.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in New York and in good standing.
• 1-5 years of plaintiff's personal injury litigation experience preferred.
• Experience with motor vehicle accident and premises liability cases.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable with depositions, court appearances, and client interactions.
• Experience with legal software (SmartAdvocate a plus).

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in New York.
