A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a skilled Supreme Court and Appellate Associate Attorney with exceptional legal research, writing, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience as a judicial clerk, preferably at a federal or state appellate court, along with a completed JD from an accredited law school and outstanding academic credentials.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research on complex appellate issues.
  • Draft persuasive and precise appellate briefs, motions, and legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in appellate court proceedings, including oral arguments.
  • Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and clients to develop case strategies.
  • Assist in case management, including maintaining case files and deadlines.
  • Stay abreast of developments in appellate law and procedure.

 

Requirements:

  • Completed Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Experience as a judicial clerk, particularly at a federal or state appellate court.
  • Exceptional academic credentials demonstrating excellence in legal studies.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficient oral communication skills for effective advocacy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Admission to the California State Bar (or willingness to become admitted).

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the California State Bar.
