Job Overview

A law firm seeks a seasoned attorney to join their Attorney Coach and Trainer Program in Berkeley Heights, NJ. This role focuses on enhancing legal writing across the firm and providing strategic litigation coaching. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in employment litigation and a passion for developing attorneys through writing instruction and personalized coaching.

Duties

  • Design and deliver legal writing content for firm-wide programs.
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to enhance attorney work product.
  • Develop and maintain templates and standards for legal writing.
  • Lead webinars and workshops on legal writing.
  • Provide strategic guidance on pleadings and motions.
  • Collaborate with Practice Group Leaders to identify training needs.
  • Mentor other Attorney Coaches and Trainers.
  • Partner with Learning & Professional Development teams to assess performance.
  • Assist with firmwide rollouts of legal software.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated excellence in legal writing.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to coach attorneys and manage projects independently.
  • Familiarity with instructional design and online learning platforms.
  • Creative, collaborative, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and online training platforms.

Education

  • J.D. required.
  • Licensed to practice law in the US.

Certifications
