Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join its litigation team in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is ideal for a candidate with over six years of commercial litigation experience, including substantive trial preparation, courtroom practice, motion practice, and deposition experience. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent advocacy, research, and negotiation skills. A strong work ethic and proficiency in e-discovery software are preferred.

Location:

• Scottsdale, Arizona

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of commercial litigation cases, including trial preparation and courtroom representation.

• Draft and argue motions in court.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Conduct legal research and prepare written briefs and memoranda.

• Handle client communications and negotiate settlements.

• Work with e-discovery software to manage case files and evidence.

• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and legal matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of commercial litigation experience.

• Substantive trial preparation and courtroom experience required.

• Experience with motion practice and depositions.

• Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.

• Current license to practice law in Arizona.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Arizona.

Skills:

• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.

• Excellent research and writing capabilities.

• Proficiency with e-discovery software preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage case files effectively.
