A law firm located in Miramar, FL, is seeking a skilled Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Florida Bar License and have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

 

Job Details:

  • Represent employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers' compensation defense cases.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on workers' compensation matters.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs, with the appropriate courts and agencies.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the cases.
  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to strategize and prepare for case proceedings.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Florida Bar License.
  • Preferably possess 2-5 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the Florida Bar.
