Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Securities and Capital Markets Group in Washington, DC. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team on a diverse range of corporate, securities, and capital markets matters, providing significant client interaction and business development opportunities.

Duties

• Collaborate with shareholders on securities and capital markets transactions.
• Participate in business development and client-facing activities.
• Handle debt and equity offerings, M&A transactions, and SEC compliance.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in corporate, securities, capital markets, and M&A at an AM Law 100 firm.
• Strong transactional skills and experience with debt and equity offerings.
• Experience with SEC compliance and reporting; securitizations and aviation clients experience is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education

• J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admitted and in good standing in Illinois, New York, DC, or Florida.
