Duties

  • Develop legal strategies and prepare cases for litigation or settlement.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Maintain communication with clients, explaining legal processes.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff for case development.
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation.
  • Monitor deadlines and procedural rules to protect client rights.
  • Stay informed on personal injury laws and regulatory developments.

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 2+ years of experience in personal injury law preferred.
  • Knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms.
  • Valid driver's license.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
