Attorney needed for Houston office

A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will engage in discovery, handle personal injury claims, and represent clients throughout the legal process. Strong research and writing skills, excellent academic credentials, and effective communication are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

• Engage in discovery and factual investigation to build strong cases.
• Develop personal injury claims from intake to settlement.
• Examine video, documentary, and physical evidence to support legal arguments.
• Draft petitions, motions, orders, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions, ensuring effective representation of clients.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials to advocate for clients.
• Keep clients well informed of the status of their cases through regular communication.
• Prepare cases thoroughly for trial, demonstrating attention to detail.
• Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
• Conducted legal research and stayed updated on relevant case law and statutes.
• Work towards and maintain active licensure to practice law or actively progress toward passing the Bar exam.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law or actively working towards passing the Bar exam.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Previous experience with personal injury claims is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
