Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel to senior associate attorney with four to seven years of employment law experience to join its Labor and Employment practice group in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for building a practice and creatively working with clients to find solutions.

Duties

  • Manage internal and external client relationships effectively.
  • Lead on matters and supervise junior associates.
  • Draft summary judgment motions and other dispositive briefing.
  • Prepare motions to compel arbitration and discovery requests.
  • Oppose motions for class certification and gather declarations.
  • Draft long-form settlement agreements in wage and hour class actions.
  • Advise clients on employment law compliance, policies, and handbooks.
  • Conduct labor due diligence on M&A deals.

Requirements

  • Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing skills.
  • Experience in employment litigation, including court appearances and depositions.
  • Federal clerkship experience preferred.
  • Experience in single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits.
  • Experience handling wage and hour matters and client counseling.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Washington.

  • Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with clients.
