Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in personal injury litigation in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5+ years of experience in litigating and trying cases, with a focus on catastrophic injury cases. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.

Duties

  • Draft and file complaints.
  • Draft and respond to discovery.
  • Meet and confer on discovery and subpoenas.
  • Handle law and motion matters.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare trial documents and try cases.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5+ years of litigation and/or trial experience in personal injury law.
  • Detail-oriented and able to take direction and criticism well.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for helping people and a desire to learn.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

Skills

  • Strong litigation and trial skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
