Job Overview:

The Attorney will play a vital role in representing clients in legal proceedings, managing administrative tasks, and leading a team of support staff. The ideal candidate must be a member of the Florida Bar Association and possess expertise in First-Party Property Insurance.

Duties:

  • Identify client conflicts and devise case strategies with various resolution options.
  • Administrative staff responsibilities include client invoicing, billing records management, scheduling meetings, and task completion.
  • Present arguments and motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings.
  • Conduct thorough research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Supervise and guide administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks.

Requirements:

  • Membership in the Florida Bar Association is mandatory.
  • Preferably, 2-4 years of recent experience in First-Party Property Insurance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite for documentation and communication.
  • Advanced computer skills with legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis.
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in a law firm setting is desirable.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
