Pre-Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Pre-Litigation Attorney in Dallas, TX. This role focuses on managing personal injury cases from intake through settlement, with an emphasis on pre-litigation performance. The successful candidate will strategically manage claims to resolution before reaching the courtroom.

Duties

• Manage a high-volume docket of pre-litigation personal injury matters.
• Conduct client intakes and build strong attorney-client relationships.
• Evaluate liability and damages, and develop winning case strategies.
• Guide clients through medical treatment and case progression.
• Review and organize medical records, bills, and supporting documentation.
• Draft compelling settlement demands and negotiate assertively with adjusters.
• Maintain frequent communication with clients, providers, and opposing counsel.
• Partner with litigation team when cases need to transition to suit.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas.
• At least 2 years of plaintiff-side auto accident PI experience at a large Texas firm required.
• Deep knowledge of Texas tort law, treatment protocols, and insurance defense tactics.
• Proven success in case negotiations and settlements.
• Confident, organized, and capable of managing a demanding docket independently.
• Proficient with legal case management tools and Microsoft Office.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
