Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney for its Portland, OR office. Here's the job description:

Job Overview: The Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel and representation to clients in insurance coverage matters. This role involves extensive legal research, drafting various legal documents, representing clients in court, and collaborating with expert witnesses.

Duties:

• Conduct file reviews and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Maintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hours
• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions
• Draft and respond to discovery requests
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses
• Prepare for trials and attend as required
• It may involve occasional travel

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in insurance coverage preferred
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Admitted to practice in the state of Oregon; admission in other states is a plus
