Lateral Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Lateral Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of litigation, including investigation, written discovery, depositions, briefing, motion practice, and trial, across a wide variety of subject matter litigation.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of litigation cases, from initial investigation through trial.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests.
• Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses.
• Draft legal briefs, motions, and other court filings.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in litigation.
• Strong academic background with a J.D. from an ABA-Accredited law school.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Ability to promptly obtain admission in the State of Iowa.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
