The successful candidate will manage assigned cases actively, communicate effectively with clients, and represent them in court and before government agencies. This role requires proficiency in Spanish and English, and experience in jury trials and deposition is preferred. Duties:

  • Analyze and manage assigned cases proactively to drive them toward favorable resolutions.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates and advice on business and legal transactions.
  • Represent clients effectively in court settings, mediations, and before government agencies.
  • Conduct interviews with witnesses and prepare them for depositions and trials.
  • Depose facts and expert witnesses, managing all aspects of discovery processes.
  • Engage in mediation and perform oral arguments in court.
  • Prepare and draft various legal documents, including motions and other court submissions.
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes to achieve client goals while minimizing risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal standards and regulations.
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
  • Handle full-scale trial preparations and participate in jury trials, demonstrating strong courtroom advocacy skills.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the State of Louisiana.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law.
  • Prior experience with jury trials and depositions is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are highly desirable.
  • Moot Court or Law Review participation is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all phases of litigation independently, from discovery through trial.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) required.

Certifications:

  • An active member in good standing of the Louisiana State Bar.
