Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney to join its Winston-Salem, NC office. This role involves working with businesses and individuals on various business transactions, with a preference for candidates who have experience in federal tax law, tax planning, and federal taxpayer advocacy matters. Additional experience in trusts and estates is highly valued.

Duties

• Advise businesses and individuals on corporate transactions and tax planning
• Provide legal counsel on federal tax matters, including structuring and compliance for corporations, partnerships, and tax-exempt entities
• Represent clients in federal taxpayer advocacy matters
• Assist in the formation, structuring, and governance of corporate entities
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other business-related legal documents
• Advise on trusts and estates matters, including estate planning and asset protection strategies
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations affecting business operations

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate law and business transactions
• Strong background in federal tax law and planning
• Experience working with corporations, partnerships, and tax-exempt entities
• Ability to handle federal taxpayer advocacy matters
• Trusts and estates experience preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar
