A well-established law firm in Denver is seeking a Natural Resources & Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of post-JD experience. The associate will work on complex disputes involving natural resources, contracts, class actions, commercial issues, oil & gas, energy, environmental matters, and federal public lands. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and eager to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative legal team.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in disputes related to natural resources, oil & gas, energy, environmental matters, and federal public lands.
  • Handle commercial litigation matters, including contracts and class actions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality legal documents.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Manage cases from inception to resolution, ensuring timely and effective case progression.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by delivering superior legal services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years post-JD experience in litigation.
  • Experience in commercial, natural resources, oil & gas, energy, or environmental litigation.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with attention to detail and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Enthusiastic about working within a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Colorado, or willing to complete the process to waive into the Colorado Bar.
  • Former judicial law clerks are encouraged to apply.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases with high attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to work independently when necessary.
