Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Construction and Design Litigation Associate Attorney in Denver, Colorado. The successful candidate will have a background in defending construction and design litigation matters, with a preference for experience representing developers, general contractors, design professionals, and subcontractors. This role offers the chance to work with skilled legal professionals in a collegial environment, providing hands-on experience with clients, depositions, court appearances, and business development. A hybrid work schedule is available following training.

Duties

  • Manage and handle own files and matters.
  • Conduct client interviews and meetings.
  • Engage in expert preparation and disclosures.
  • Handle pre-trial discovery and motions.
  • Participate in large document production and database management.
  • Engage in first chair mediation and trial/arbitration.
  • Draft and negotiate construction contracts.
  • Develop marketing and business strategies.
  • Draft publications, articles, or legal presentations.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado.
  • Strong work ethic and case management skills.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with insurance claims representatives.
  • Experience with large exposure cases and complex matters.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Colorado.
