Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of practice areas, with a primary emphasis on family law and estate planning matters.
  • Interact with clients and the community to address their legal needs.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and strong work ethic in all tasks.
  • Have litigation experience in resolving custody, parenting time, child support, property division, and estate and trust administration matters.
  • Draft pleadings and motions for court proceedings.
  • Conduct discovery and gather evidence for cases.
  • Participate in mediation sessions to negotiate settlements.
  • Make court appearances and represent clients in evidentiary hearings.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Michigan, or willing and able to become licensed.
  • 1-5 years of experience in legal practice.
  • Good standing with the State Bar Association.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in Michigan.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
