Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on all aspects of workers' compensation cases

  • Evaluate claims, review medical records, and advise clients on strategy

  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel

  • Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations

  • Mentor legal support staff and junior personnel

  • Collaborate with firm leadership and contribute to strategic planning

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience (workers’ compensation experience preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently

  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills

  • Capacity to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Nebraska (or eligible for admission)
