A respected law firm located in Oak Park, IL, is seeking a seasoned immigration attorney to serve as a Senior Associate. Duties:

• Provide detailed explanations of immigration options and recommend strategic legal solutions

• Represent clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Prepare and submit complex immigration filings, including family-based and humanitarian petitions

• Conduct legal intakes with individuals in detention facilities

• Review and revise immigration applications and supporting documentation

• Draft and submit persuasive legal briefs and motions

• Collaborate with law enforcement and advocacy groups regarding legal changes and procedural updates

• Meet with prospective clients to assess immigration eligibility and define legal strategies

• Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews and court appearances

• Maintain and progress a high-volume caseload with minimal oversight

• Coordinate with other attorneys and legal support staff to ensure cohesive case management

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of focused immigration law experience

• Proficiency in managing a docket independently, with a strong case movement history

• Strong ability to work collaboratively with legal team members

• Demonstrated experience representing clients before EOIR and USCIS

• Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish are preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Admission to practice law in any U.S. state or territory

Certifications:

• Bar membership in good standing
